Today ends the third week of school. This semester I have a full load and my Thursdays are strong.  This past Thursday was even stronger. You know about the four day work week, the short week, which seems like it is extra long.

There were two feast days this week, Wednesday was Oshun’s Day, Tuesday was Yemaya’s Day.  Labor Day was Monday and the week began with HOUSE In The Park  on Sunday. You feel me?  Furthermore, professors do not care about any of that, they just want the work done.  So by Thursday, I was over it.

Nevertheless, early in the day I made my way to the AARL, to study before class and to catch up with Cool Papa, before he stepped off into the wind.  I really should not have been surprised since this was Auburn Avenue. But no doubt when I arrived at the library, I did not expect to see a stutz roadster, parked on the front patio of the Auburn Avenue Research Library, in Downtown Atlanta.

WOW, the Stutz Blackhawk *WICKETT* was featured in the exhibition opening for “In the Midnight Hour: The Life and Legacy of Wilson Pickett” in the Cary McPheeter Gallery.

Ooh Yeah Baby, WICKETT!!

Check It…
